Integrated Commissioning Committee Dates and Papers

Wigan Council and NHS Wigan Borough CCG are changing the way we commission local health and care services.   We are working together and from April 2019 began to commission local services as if we are one organisation.

We are working closer together and bringing together the commissioning of the different services to make the process more efficient and effective.  This will also make it simpler for the local health and care services we commission.

This is a long standing commitment of CCG and Council to improve the way we commission local services and is set out in the Wigan Locality plan (2015-2020).

The Integrated Commissioning Committee is the formal committee for delivering this commitment.  It is a joint committee between Wigan Borough CCG and Wigan Council.  Members of the committee are from the CCG’s Governing Body and Council’s Cabinet.

The Integrated Commissioning Committee makes decisions on the joint budget of the CCG and the Council.

We hold Integrated Commissioning Committee meetings in public every month.  Everybody is welcome to attend these meetings and it is really important to us that people do. Sometimes there are items which must be discussed in private due to confidentiality; these items are heard after the public (open) meeting finishes.

Questions

Questions for the public are always welcome. To make sure we can give you a full answer, we ask that questions are sent to us by 11am the day before the meeting, although we do sometimes take questions on the day at the discretion of the Chair.

You can ask your question by using “Contact Us” on this website, by post to WBCCG Governing Body, Wigan Life Centre, College Avenue, Wigan, WN1 1NJ, by twitter @WiganBoroughCCG, or by calling us on 01942 482711.
