One Voice – Children and Young People mental health

One Voice – Children and Young People mental health meeting

The meeting takes place every 3rd Wednesday of the month on Microsoft Teams.

It takes place 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

The meeting time may change when children and young people return to school and college.

The meeting is for children and young people, age 12 to 25, under the care of mental health services in Wigan Borough.

It’s a place we hear the voice of children and young people about mental health services. They tell us what is working well or what can be improved.

Health professionals also attend the meeting to listen, support and take actions forward.

The children and young people attend the meeting with their health professional to ensure they are supported at all times. During the meeting people can use the chat feature if they don’t want to speak on video.

There is no commitment to attend every meeting.

The group set the theme for each meeting.

How to get involved:

If you are a child or young person under the care of a mental health service speak to your health professional in the first instance.

Health professionals can contact Lucy Hurst, Commissioning and Transformation Manager, or 01942 482711 for more information.

Notes are sent out after every meeting.

The children and young people are asked what they want they next agenda topic to be.
